What can we say about Barolo? It is the king of wines and the wine of kings. Our main product is the Barolo Vigna Rocche, obtained from a historic cru of the La Morra region and dates from 1477when this small area was given the name Rocha. This is the earliest mention of this area now privileged for the cultivation of the Nebbiolo vine. The low harvest per hectare and the extreme care taken gives a wine with an outstanding structure and which is decidedly long lasting. Our company prefers to age its Barolo in oak barrels of 25-30 hectolitres so as to keep the perfume and tannin which are typical of this vine. The results are remarkable and can be found in the "great years" which produce robust wines which slowly develop and can be tasted in their fullness sometimes only after 5-10 years from their harvest date.
